UNION UNIVERSITY PRESENTS A TROMBONE AND TRUMPET RECITAL

Jackson, Tenn. — The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Department of Music will be presenting Greg Luscombe and Lee Weimer in a trombone and trumpet recital Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the G.M. Savage Chapel on the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ campus.

Luscombe is a low brass instructor at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and Shelby State Community College. He is the principal trombonist/ personnel manager of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.

Weimer has served at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ as a high brass instructor since 1992. He also teaches at Rhodes College and Jackson State Community College, in addition to maintaining a large private studio. Weimer is in his tenth season as principal trumpet with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra.

Collaborative keyboard artists for the program are Melissa Daggett, staff accompanist at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, and Terry McRoberts, Professor of Music at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. The recital is free and the public is cordially invited to attend. Call Terry McRoberts at 661-5232 for more information.
