| Jackson, Tenn. - Time
Magazine, in conjunction with The Princeton Review,
listed Â鶹ÊÓƵ University as one of the top five private
universities in the state of Tennessee in its annual
college guide, "The Best College For You." The
publication went on sale in bookstores this week. Â鶹ÊÓƵ
was given a high selectivity rating for its academic and
admissions competitiveness. The only other four schools
in Tennessee to receive a comparable rating are
Vanderbilt University, the University of the South,
Rhodes College and Lee University.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ was also included in the guide's Time 500 - a
category reserved for the top 20 percent of higher
education institutions in the country. Â鶹ÊÓƵ was the only
West Tennessee college to be included in the Time 500.
"The inclusion in the Time 500 is another
recognition of the commitment to academic excellence at
Â鶹ÊÓƵ. For Â鶹ÊÓƵ to be included with the premier schools
in the country is a high honor indeed," Â鶹ÊÓƵ
President David S. Dockery says.
