Jackson, Tenn. – Phyllis Davenport, coordinator of university
activities at Â鶹ÊÓƵ University has been named Staff Member of the Year.
 "Â鶹ÊÓƵ University couldn't have chosen a more deserving
person," said Kimberly Thornbury, dean of students at Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
"Everybody loves Phyllis not only because of her incredibly warm
personality, but the excellence she shows in her work. She is forever part
of the fabric of Â鶹ÊÓƵ University."
A Â鶹ÊÓƵ employee for the last eighteen years, Davenport is responsible
for handling the numerous details for Â鶹ÊÓƵ and local outside
organizations who wish to use Â鶹ÊÓƵ's facilities.
According to Thornbury, three of Davenport's top qualities include her
strong commitment to Christ, her incredible reputation with internal and
external customers and her passion for Â鶹ÊÓƵ students. Davenport was
awarded the honor during a special Awards Day chapel Monday, May 8.
