| Jackson, Tenn. - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Alumni Association
honored Jackson native, Catherine Peek Kwasigroh, during Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's 175th Homecoming
celebration, Feb. 12-13, 1999. Kwasigroh received The Outstanding Young Achiever Award. This award is presented to one, age 35 or younger, who shall have record of significant accomplishment in professional life and for service to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ or the world. Kwasigroh graduated from Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in 1990 with a bachelor of science in accounting. She went on to earn her master of business administration at the University of Tennessee Martin in 1997. While at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, Kwasigroh received the Elizabeth Tigrett Medal and was named the university's most outstanding accounting student for the class of 1990. In the same year, she was elected Miss Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and was named an NAIA Academic All American for her performance in Lady Bulldog basketball. Kwasigroh also served as financial advisor to the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ chapter of the Chi Omega sorority. Today Kwasigroh is the executive director of finance for the system affiliate division of West Tennessee Healthcare, Inc. and teaches accounting part-time in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's McAfee School of Business Administration. |
