Myatt, director of teacher education and instructor of
elementary education at Â鶹ÊÓƵ University, has been
appointed to a three year term as a member of the
Tennessee State Board of Examiners for Teacher Education
(BOE). The BOE is an approval board for teacher education
programs in Tennessee. The timing of this appointment
is advantageous for Â鶹ÊÓƵ, Myatt said. In the spring of
2000, Â鶹ÊÓƵ will undergo an evaluation by the National
Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
"Serving at the state level will prepare me to lead
our upcoming NCATE evaluation set for the year
2000," she said.
