MARYLAND NATIVE ELECTED TSNA TREASURER
Jackson, Tenn. -- Maryland native Lori (Gleockler) Martin, a senior at Â鶹ÊÓƵ University, was elected treasurer of the Tennessee Student Nurses Association during the fall 1996 convention Nov. 15-17 in Nashville, Tenn.
According to Carla Sanderson, Tennessee Nurses Association vice president and dean of Â鶹ÊÓƵ University's School of Nursing, state officers of the TSNA play a critical role in the future of the nursing profession. "They have a place at the table for discussion that directly affects the future of their profession," Sanderson said.
While at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, Martin has served as president of the Student Nurses Association and is a member of Alpha Chi.
Martin is the daughter of Robert and Mary Lou Gleockler, Denton, Md. and is a nursing major. She is married to James Martin, Jr. and lives in Jackson, Tenn.
