Welcome to the Department of Physical Education, Wellness, and Sport website. It is our hope that one may find answers to questions concerning our profession along with the majors we offer. These majors are physical education with teaching licensure and exercise science. All majors are 21st century job-market focused with preparing students in mind.
We will equip future exercise and sport professionals through relational, gospel-centered teaching, service to community and society, and collaborative research.
Bentlee Fuzzell ('21)"I grew up in Jackson, Tennessee, where I attended the University School of Jackson. During my time at USJ, I was involved in many different clubs and organizations, one of which included YoungLife Club. At the time, several of my YoungLife leaders attended Â鶹ÊÓƵ. They quickly disproved my idea that Â鶹ÊÓƵ was 'just a college in my hometown.' I realized it was a great fit for me to not only stay close to home, but also challenge myself academically and spiritually."
