Before Â鶹ÊÓƵ: Pla prepped at Hillwood Comprehensive High School in Nashville were she participated in soccer, cross country, basketball, and track. Pla was also a member of the HFC United team that won the state title in 2005. In soccer, she was named All-District and Defensive MVP in each of her four seasons as she averaged 13 saves per game. Pla was also named All-District, All-Region, and MVP in basketball, as well as, being named MVP in cross country. In track, Pla posted a fifth place finish in the state discus event.
