Before Â鶹ÊÓƵ: Hauss prepped at Saltillo High School where she was the 2002 and 2003 Mississippi Cross Country 4-A State Champion. In 2004, she won the state title in the 3200 track. Hauss ran the 800 in 2:27, the 2-mile in 12:07, and the 5K in 19:46. During her career, she was named MVP four times and All-State four times. She also played basketball and ran track. Hauss excelled in the classroom as well. She had a 4.0 GPA and graduated as Valedictorian of her class. Hauss was selected as a Wendy’s High School Heisman State Finalists.
