Coach’s Comments .
Monica a very quick
guard that has improved each season since arriving as a freshman. She has gained
valuable experience in big games at the point guard position. Monica defines
servant leadership.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ Career .
(‘01-’02)...averaged 3.0 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in 35 games.
(‘02-’03)...tallied 4.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game in 35
games. (‘03-’04)...average 2.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per
game in 36 game played.
Before Â鶹ÊÓƵ .
Monica prepped at
Memphis Ridgeway where her team compiled an overall record of 83-21 (3 years).
She averaged 14 points per game, six steals and five assists per game. Monica
was a two sport star in high school and led Ridgeway to the state championship
in track. She won the state championship in the long jump and finished third in
the 100-yard dash and fourth in the 200-yard dash. Monica finished high school
with a 3.4 GPA and also played in the East/West All-Star game in 2001.
