Before Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ: Walters is a transfer from Motlow State Community College where she played two seasons of softball. She was named the TJCAA Player of the Year in 2006. Walters posted a record of 13-1 on the mound with an ERA of 0.41 and 84 strikeouts. She also hit .420 with 11 homeruns and 62 RBI, and set the Motlow record for RBI's in a game with nine. Walters prepped at Riverton Parke High School in Indiana where she played softball and basketball. She led the softball team to four sectional titles, two region championships, and two appearances in the semifinals of the state playoffs. Walters was an All-Conference performer each of her four seasons in softball and was named All-Conference as a senior in basketball. Walters holds her high school's record with stolen bases in a season (35) and career (112). Off the field, Walters was a member of the National Honor Society.
