Kristen proved to be an outstanding player at the high school level. She is expected to see lots of playing time as a freshman for the Lady Bulldogs.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Career. (2006)...First season at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ.
Before Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ: Kirk has played numerous positions during her high school career at Bolivar Central High School, including time as a shortstop, an outfielder, and also as a pitcher. She started all four season of her high school career under head coach Mike Madden. As a senior, Kirk hit .424 with 27 RBI, and also compiled a 7-6 record on the mound with one save. She posted a 2.24 ERA while striking out 100 batters in 71.2 innings pitched. She is a career .384 hitters and has 91 RBI, 19 wins, and 302 strikeouts during her four years at Bolivar Central. Kirk was named All-District 12-AA as a senior. She was also named the Gatorade Player of the Year, District All-Tournament, All-District, Jackson Sun All-West Tennessee, and a High School Christian Student Athlete second team All-American during her junior season.
Off the field, Kirk was just as successful and posted just as many honors. She was named a Girl’s State Delegate as a junior, and then Rotary Student of the Month, Most Studious, Most Likely to Succeed, and was named to the Bolivar Central High School Wall of Fame as a senior. In her four years of high school, Kirk earned eight subject awards and was on the Honor Roll each year. Kirk was also a member of numerous clubs, including Fellowship of Christian Athletes, BETA Club president, Yearbook Editor, Spanish Club, and Cheerleading Captain.
