Before Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ: Johnson prepped at Ohio County (Ky.) High School where he played four years of soccer. He was named all-district and all-region as a senior, while also making the summer camp all-star team. Johnson was named Best Forward as a sophomore and senior, and was named MVP as a freshman and junior. During his high school career, Johnson recorded 44 goals and 12 assists. Johnson also posted a successful club team career with the Owensboro United and the Bowling Green Sky. While a member of the Owensboro team, he helped lead his team to 2009 United Spring Cup Championship, the 2010 WKONA Invitational Championship, and three other tournament runner-up finishes over that two-year span. Off the field, Johnson was a member of the National Honor Society and Honor Roll. He earned the Advance Computer Award, Information Technology Award and Academic All-State. Johnson has the Eagle Scout rank in Boy Scouts and has his "E" Soccer Coaching License.
