Coach’s Comments .
Ben has proven himself as one of the best post
players in the country over the past three years. He is a load at 6-foot-10 and
260 lbs and has all the tools to be a great player. He has good hands, good
feet, and the ability to score from the post and perimeter. Ben is one of the
dominate post players, not only in the conference, but in the nation.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Career . (‘03-’04)...averaged
15.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game...played in all 34 team
games...was named a first team All-Conference performer, an NAIA honorable
mentioned All-American, and was named to the TranSouth All-Freshman team.
(‘04-’05)
played in 33 games, averaging 18.8 minutes and
11.9 points per game, while grabbing 4.4 rebounds…named to the TranSouth
Conference First-Team. (‘05-’06)
played in 34 games while starting
27...led Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 14.9 points per game...averaged 5.4 rebounds per game...was
named first team All-Conference.
Before Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ: Frederick led Bartlett High School to a state championship as a sophomore. He was named to the all-tournament teams at the state, region, and district levels. As a junior, Frederick was named the district Player of the Year and also was selected to the all-tournament teams on the region and district levels. Frederick also was named to the Memphis All-Metro team. He averaged 18 points per game and going into his senior season, Frederick was named as one of the top 10 players in the state by numerous publications.
