Coach’s Comments.
Marcus has everything you look for in a point guard.
He is the quickest player on our team and sees the floor extremely well. He
makes everyone on our team a better player.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ Career.
(‘03-’04)...averaged 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and
3.8 assists per game...started at point guard most of the season...was named to
the TranSouth All-Freshman team.
Before Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
Marcus played one semester at Vincennes University
and due to an early season injury, sought a medical red-shirt. Marcus was rated
the No. 1 point guard as both a high school junior and senior in the state of
Georgia. He played his high school basketball at Southeast Whitfield High School
in Dalton, Georgia. As a senior, he led his team to a 24-3 record while
averaging 19 points, seven assists, five rebounds, and four steals. He was named
first team All-State in both his junior and senior seasons and was an honorable
mentioned McDonald’s All-American.
