Coach’s Comments,
Ben is a load at 6-foot-10 and 260 lbs. He has all
the tools to be a great player. He has good hands, good feet, and the ability to
score from the post and perimeter. During his short time at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, Ben has
turned heads as his strength and ability continues to improve. Ben could be one
of the dominate post players, not only in the conference, but in the nation.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Career.
(‘03-’04)...averaged 15.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and
1.4 blocks per game...played in all 34 team games...was named a first team
All-Conference performer, an NAIA honorable mentioned All-American, and was
named to the TranSouth All-Freshman team.
Before Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ.
Ben led Bartlett High School to a state championship
as a sophomore. He was named to the all-tournament teams at the state, region,
and district levels. As a junior, Ben was named the district Player of the Year
and also was selected to the all-tournament teams on the region and district
levels. Frederick also was named to the Memphis All-Metro team. He averaged 18
points per game and going into his senior season, Ben was named as one of the
top 10 players in the state by numerous publications.
