In his junior season for the Bulldogs, Briggs was second on the team in batting average at .365 and was tied for second with 80 hits…he also led Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 15 of 19 stolen bases. Briggs was named NAIA honorable mention All-American, all Region and first team all-conference. A junior college All-American…led the TJCAA in batting average (.466 average)…a tremendous asset to any team due to his offensive capabilities and ability to play two positions, right field and second base…will start the majority of games in right field. In 2001 at Jackson State CC, he hit .466 with eight homeruns, 65 RBI, and 22 stolen bases.
