JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/19/2007 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University men's Soccer reserve team continued a strong season Monday night with a 3-0 win versus the Tennessee Rush 92 from Jackson. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ dressed out only 12 players for the match, yet did not appear to struggle in the 90 minute match. The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ men's reserve team improved to 3-2 on the season.
Jordan Thompson opened the scoring for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in the second minute of the match, Thompson scored on a shot from 10 yards out. The goal was assisted by David Romer. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ tallied their second goal when an Eric Uruwingiyamana corner kick found the head of defender Kevin Bradley for a second goal of the half.
The second half was mostly Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ displaying ball control until a 10-minute delay caused by the sprinkler system halted the action. When the match resumed, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ tacked on a third and final goal when David Romer drilled home a deflected shot in the 83rd minute.
