JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/14/2007 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University volleyball team got back on the winning track with a 3-0 (30-11, 30-14, 30-11) win. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ improved to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in the TranSouth. Mid-Continent dropped to 0-6 on the season and 0-5 in league play.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ led early and never looked back with big nights from newcomers CJ Neathamer with 12 kills and Tiven Catrett with 11 kills. Last weeks conference setter of the week, Jennifer Martins led with 31 assists. Cassi Hobbs, the reigning TranSouth and NAIA Region XI Libero of the Week, led Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 19 digs. Emily Ogas led with three blocks.
Up next for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will be a big conference match-up when the Lady Bulldogs host conference and area rival Freed-Hardeman University (Tenn.) at Fred DeLay Gymnasium. Match time is 7:00 pm.
