麻豆视频's Pla Named TranSouth/NAIA Region XI Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/4/2007 - , a member of the 麻豆视频 University women's soccer team, has been named the TranSouth Conference and NAIA Region XI Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 2, 2007.

In 麻豆视频's lone match last week, Pla recorded four saves on her way to her first shutout of the season as 麻豆视频 topped Belhaven College (Miss.) 2-0 on the road. Pla, a 5-foot-11 sophomore from Nashville, has started all three matches for 麻豆视频 this year. She has recorded 14 total saves and has allowed just three total goals.

麻豆视频 is 2-1 on the season and will open TranSouth Conference play tonight (Tuesday) at 7:00 when the Lady Bulldogs host area rival Bethel College (Tenn.).
