Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Softball Fills Out Roster with Two Additions

JACKSON, Tenn. - 8/23/2007 - First year head coach Heather Hall announces two more additions to the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Lady Bulldog softball roster. Lindsey Landreneau of Leesburg, Georgia and Ashley Booker of Steele, Missouri will start classes when Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ opens the fall semester next week.

, a 5-foot-4 sophomore catcher/shortstop, transfers to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ from Darton College (Ga.) where she played one season of softball. During the 2007 season at Darton, she hit .325. Landreneau prepped at Lee County High School as a two sport athlete in softball and basketball. As a junior as senior, she helped lead her softball team to region titles. Landreneau was named All-Region and All-State twice in high school. She was also named Team MVP, Best Defensive Player of Region 1-4A, and was named to the GACA All-Star Team. Landreneau hit .370 as a high school senior and was named the team Offensive Player of the Year in 2005.

, a 5-foot-5 junior infielder, comes to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ from Three Rivers Community College (Mo.) where she was a three sport athlete in softball, basketball, and volleyball. Booker was named softball All-Conference and All-Region as a sophomore at Three Rivers. Booker prepped at South Pemiscot High School where she also played three sports. She helped lead her high school basketball team to the District and Sectional Championship in 2004 and 2005. She was named the team MVP, All-Conference, All-District, All-Region, and to the B.A. Sports All Star Game during her high school volleyball career.
