麻豆视频's Walters Named NAIA Softball All-American

JACKSON, Tenn. - 6/5/2007 - of 麻豆视频 University has been named an NAIA Softball All-American for the 2007 season. Walters, in her first season with 麻豆视频, adds this second team All-American honor to her TranSouth and NAIA Region XI Player of the Year honors.

Walters, a 5-foot-8 junior from Rockville, Indiana, led 麻豆视频 in several offensive categories including batting average (.456), runs scored (58), hits (88), doubles (19), triples (7), stolen bases (23), slugging percentage (.782), and on-base percentage (.483). Walters was also second on the team with 10 homeruns and 55 RBI.

On the season, Walters was named TranSouth Player of the Week once, first team All-Conference, TranSouth Player of the Year, first team All-Region, Region XI Player of the Year, and now NAIA second team All-American.

Walters helped lead 麻豆视频 to a third place finish in the NAIA Region XI Tournament. For 麻豆视频, this marked their 10th region tournament appearance in the past 11 seasons.
