JACKSON, Tenn. - 3/22/2007 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University baseball team continues their Munford High School connection with the addition of . Hollingsworth will enter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ this fall as a freshman and will major in Pre-Med.
Hollingsworth is the seventh Munford player to sign with Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ over the past 10 seasons. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has had at least one Munford baseball player on their roster since the 2002 season. Currently, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ boasts All-Conference performers Clint Arthur and Zach Lowery, both of which are seniors.
Hollingsworth prepped at Munford High School were he played baseball, basketball, and ran cross country. He helped lead his high school baseball team to a third place finish in the Tennessee State Tournament in 2004. Hollingsworth also led his summer league team to a USSSA State Title in 2003 and a runner-up finish in 2002. The 2003 team also finished seventh in the USSSA World Series. Hollingsworth struck out 17 hitters in one game during that World Series. He was named MVP in baseball, as well as, being selected to the Invitational League two years. In basketball, Hollingsworth was named Best Offensive Player.
In the classroom, Hollingsworth experience success as well, being named to the National Honor Society, the Honor Roll every year, and graduating seventh in his class.
