Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Women's Soccer Adds Texas Standout

JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/22/2007 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University women's soccer team has signed Samantha Gase of Allen, Texas to the 2007 roster. Gase will enter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ this fall as a freshman and will major in nursing.

Gase, a 5-foot-7 midfielder, will add talent to the three-year-old Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ program. Gase prepped at Allen High School in Texas where she played four years of soccer. She was named All-District as a junior and was MVP of the Coppell Soccer Tournament as a freshman. Gase played for numerous club teams. In 2005 and 2006, she helped lead the 89 Dallas Sting to back-to-back Grand Champions in Division II. Gase also played on teams that won the North American Memorial Day Championship, the Orange Classic Championship, the Norman Classic Cup Championship, and the Duma Cup Championship. Off the field, Gase was a member of the National Honor Society, the All "A" Honor Roll, and the top-10 percent of her class.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ head coach Brandon Boylan says, "Sam is a technically gifted athlete who's versatility could make an immediate impact on our team. She has had very good coaching both at the club and high school level and we are blessed to have her be a part of our program."

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is coming off their most productive season in which they finished fourth in the TranSouth regular season and advanced to the NAIA Region XI Tournament in just their second season of varsity competiton.
