JACKSON, Tenn. - 12/8/2006 - The No. 3 ranked Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Lady Bulldogs closed out the first half of their season with a big 104-29 win over Paul Quinn College (Texas). Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ goes into the Christmas break with a 9-2 record. Paul Quinn fell to 1-6 with the loss.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ led 49-11 at halftime to put the game out of reach early. The Lady Bulldogs then opened the second half with a 13-0 run as they cruised to 55 second half points to earn the 104-29 win.
For Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, all eight players scored for the Lady Bulldogs, including seven players in double figures. DJ Sissoko led the way with a game-high 18 points. Josephine Owino tallied a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Jessica Graves also recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 assists. Crystal Eason added 17 points including 3-of-6 from behind the arc. Latorya Fuller scored 15 points, Natanya Smith tallied 14 points and Kaitlin Dudley added 11 points. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ shot 63-percent from the field, including 29-percent (5-of-17) from behind the arc.
Paul Quinn was led by Andrea Anderson with 14 points. The Lady Tigers shot just 19-percent from the field, including six-percent (1-of-16) from three point range.
The next game for the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Lady Bulldogs will be on January 4, 2007 when they open TranSouth Conference play at Cumberland University (Tenn.). Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's next home game in January 11 versus conference newcomer, Mid-Continent College (Ky.)
