JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/28/2006 - of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University became the programs first ever women’s soccer player to be named an NAIA All-Region performer. In Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s second varsity season, Zimmerman, earned second team All-Region XI honors following her All-Conference honor a few weeks earlier.
Zimmerman, a 5-foot-5 sophomore forward from Lebanon, Tennessee, started in each of her 17 matches on the season. She led Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 12 goals scored and also led with 29 total points. She was second on the team in assists (5), game winning goals (3), and shots (40). Her 30 shots on goals placed Zimmerman in a three-way tie for the team high.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, under the leadership of head coach Brandon Boylan, finished their second season of varsity competition with a 10-8 overall, including a 4-3 TranSouth record. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ finished the regular season in fourth place in the TranSouth Conference standings which earned the Lady Bulldogs the right to host a first round conference tournament game. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament and earned the team’s first NAIA Region Tournament bid.
