NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 11/28/2006 - of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University is the TranSouth Athletic Conference women’s basketball player of the week for the week ending November 26, 2006.
Dudley, a 5-foot-10 freshman guard from Dyer, Tennessee, helped lead the Bulldogs to a pair of wins on the week. In the team’s 80-67 win over Loyola University Dudley had 22 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. She also shot 9-of-15 from the field and 2-of-4 from 3-point range. In Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s 91-81 win over Harris-Stowe Dudley had 15 points, seven rebounds and three steals. For the week she averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game while shooting 14-of-27 (52%) from the field, 5-of-11 (45%) from 3-point range, and 4-of-5 (80%) from the foul line.
Dudley currently averages 13.1 points per game, less that one point off the team lead. She also averages 5.0 rebounds per game. From behind the arc, Dudley leads Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 15-of-36 (.417) and has made 20-of-28 (.714) free throws.
On the season, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is 7-1 with three games left before Christmas. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ travels to Chicago this weekend for a matchup at No. 17 St. Xavier University on Saturday followed by a game at Robert Morris College on Monday. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ closes out the fall schedule with a home game on Friday, December 8 versus Paul Quinn at 7:00 pm.
