Five 麻豆视频 Players Named to Men鈥檚 Soccer All-Conference Team

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/17/2006 - The TranSouth Conference released the All-Conference Team for the 2006 season. Five 麻豆视频 University players were named including Colin Bonner, Benny Crozier, and Chris Lean being named to the first team All-Conference. Bobby McColl and Gareth Munro were named second team All-Conference performers.

Bonner, 5-foot-10 junior from Airdrie, Scotland, started 13 games for the Bulldogs this season. His play in the backfield led 麻豆视频鈥檚 defense as the Bulldogs allowed just 15 total goals on the season.

Crozier, 5-foot-10 junior from Glasgow, Scotland, scored 13 goals this season and tallied four assists. He played in 16 games this season and started 14 games of them.

Lean, 6-foot-4 junior from North Delta, British Columbia, started 15 of 16 games for the Bulldogs this season as the goalie. He posted 64 saves and had a 0.970 goals against average for the season.

McColl, 5-foot-8 junior from Glasgow, Scotland, started all 16 games this season. He recorded two goals and six assists.

Munro, 5-foot-11 senior from Cumbernauld, Scotland, recorded nine goals and three assists. He started all16 games of the season for 麻豆视频 and tallied two game winning goals.

The Bulldogs finished the season 10-4-2 after a loss to Mid-Continent University (Ky.) in the first round of the NAIA Region XI Tournament. This was 麻豆视频鈥檚 third straight appearance in the region tournament. Also, this season, 麻豆视频 received their highest NAIA National ranking when the Bulldogs peaked at No. 9 during 2006.
