Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Hutchison Surpasses 1,000 Kill Mark for Career

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/14/2006 - Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University sophomore and former Trinity Christian Academy standout passed the 1,000 kills mark for her career in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s play in the TranSouth Conference Tournament. Hutchison, in just her sophomore season, has accumulated 1,040 kills with at least one match left to play this season (Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s first round game in the Region XI Tournament).

Hutchison, a 5-foot-9 sophomore from Jackson, leads Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 490 kills, a 0.454 hitting percentage, and 202 blocks. Hutchison was just named a TranSouth first team All-Conference performer during last week’s conference tournament. In her career, Hutchison has been named All-Conference twice, in addition to Freshman of the Year, All-Region, and All-American honors last season as a freshman.

After earning a four seed in the conference tournament, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ posted a third place finish which helped the Lady Bulldogs earn an at-large spot in the NAIA Region XI Tournament this weekend in Lebanon, Tenn. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ opens the single elimination tournament with a 5:00 pm match versus Freed-Hardeman University on Friday, November 17. The semifinals and final are on Saturday afternoon.
