JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/23/2006 - of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University has been named the TranSouth Conference Setter of the Week for the week ending October 22. This marks the third time on the year that Ogolla has received this honor.
Ogolla, a 5-foot-9 senior from Nairobi, Kenya, helped lead the Lady Bulldogs to a 3-0 week, including TranSouth wins over Lambuth University and Bethel College. Ogolla recorded 44 assists against Williams Baptist College in a three game victory, 38 against the Lambuth, and 40 against Bethel. For the week, she averaged 13.56 assists per game on the week, and did not commit an error.
The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ volleyball team is now 23-4 overall and 9-3 in the TranSouth. Currently, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ sits in third place, just two games back with four regular season matches to play. Included in the four matches left are match-ups with current lead Martin Methodist (11-1) and current second place team Freed-Hardeman (8-2).
Up next for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will be their final regular season home match of the year on Tuesday, October 24 versus conference leader Martin Methodist at 7:00 pm. This will also be senior night for the Lady Bulldogs.
