Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Signs Gleason Standout for 2007-08 BKB Season

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/8/2006 - The two-time defending NAIA Women's Basketball National Champion Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Lady Bulldogs continue to add local flavor to their roster. On Friday, became the latest West Tennessee player to ink with the Lady Bulldogs. Hudson is currently a senior at Gleason High SChool and will enter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in the fall of 2007.

Hudson earned five letters in basketball for coach Randy Frazier at Gleason High School. She helped Gleason win district championships in 2003, 2004, and 2006. Hudson also helped Gleason to a region runner-up finish and sub-state appearance in 2004. During her high school career, Hudson has been selected All-District three times, All-Region three times, n and All-State twice. She also has two district MVP's and one Region MVP in her collection. Hudson has added honors including the Jackson Sun Newcomer of the Year as a freshman and Jackson Sun All-West Tennessee. As a junior, Hudson was selected as a finalist for the Tennessee Miss Basketball Award. As a junior, Hudson averaged 16.4 points per game including a game-high of 30 points. He made 144-of-156 free throws (.925).

Off the court, Hudson is first in her class, senior class VP, Miss Gleason HS, on the homecoming court, Beta Club president, a Wendy's Heisman nominee, student council, Leadership Weakley County, and a TSSAA Athlete of Merit.
