Lady Bulldog Soccer Gets Back on Winning Track

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/9/2006 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Lady Bulldogs avoided losing two in a row as they defeated Loyola University-New Orleans (La.) 2-1 on Saturday. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ improves to 4-1 on the season, while Loyola falls to 2-2 on the season.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ took a 1-0 first half lead on a goal by Jill Landers, assisted by Katie Sale. In the second half, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ stretched the lead to 2-0 on a goal by Candice Blackard, assisted by Cara Pasley. Loyola pulled to within a goal with their first and only score in the 71st minute.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will play next on Tuesday, September 12 versus the No. 1 team in the NAIA, Martin Methodist College (Tenn.). The game will be played in Pulaski with a 2:00 pm start time.
