麻豆视频 Volleyball Wins Cumberland Tournament, Hutchison MVP

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/2/2006 - The 麻豆视频 University Lady Bulldog volleyball team remained perfect on the season by going undefeated through the Cumberland University Tournament in Lebanon, Tennessee. In the championship match, 麻豆视频 topped crosstown rival and new conference foe Lambuth University 3-0 (30-17, 30-20, 30-25) to win the event. Jackson native and former Trinity Christian Academy standout Amanda Hutchison was named Tournament MVP. On the season, 麻豆视频 is now 6-0.

麻豆视频 went 4-0 during pool play to earn a spot versus Lambuth, who won their pool, in the title match. On Friday, 麻豆视频 defeated Brescia University (Ky.) 3-1 (30-16, 29-31, 30-25, 30-26) and Virginia Intermont College 3-0 (30-28, 30-23, 30-17). On Saturday, 麻豆视频 defeated the University of Illinois-Springfield twice 3-1 (30-19, 30-21, 24-30, 30-20) and 3-1 (28-30, 30-20, 30-28, 30-19).

Joining Hutchison on the All-Tournament team for 麻豆视频 were seniors Monica Schrimer and Purity Ogolla.
