麻豆视频 Men's Soccer Wins Big in Season Opener

JACKSON, Tenn. - 8/28/2006 - The 麻豆视频 University men's soccer team opened the 2006 season with a 7-2 win over Southeastern University (Fla.) on Monday night to go to 1-0 on the season. In the NAIA preseason rankings, 麻豆视频 received votes, coming in at the No. 29 spot.

麻豆视频 trailed 1-0 early, but rallied to scored two goals before halftime to take a 2-1 lead at the break. Seniors Kirk Childers and Duncan Nicol gave 麻豆视频 the first half lead that they would not give up. In the second half, 麻豆视频 got it's third goal by an own goal from Southeastern. After the second Southeastern goal of the game, 麻豆视频 expoded, scoring the final four goals in a span of 15 minutes to earn the 7-2 win. Childers added his second goal of the game, followed by a goal by Benny Crozier, and two goals by Wagner Oliveira. 麻豆视频's Chris Lean played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded two saves. 麻豆视频 held Southeastern to just four shots on the day.

麻豆视频 will remain in Florida for a match versus Clearwater Christian College on Tuesday, August 29 at 4:30 pm.
