Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Haycraft Named NAIA Softball All-American, Four Players Named NAIA Scholar Athletes

JACKSON, Tenn. - 5/24/2006 - Dyersburg native Holly Haycraft continues to add to her list of honors with a second team All-American selection. In addition to the All-American’s being named, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ boasted four players on the NAIA Scholar Athlete List. Amber Bryant, Jackie Cliff, and Mary Kosco join Haycraft on this list of juniors and seniors with 3.5 or higher grade point averages.

, a 5-foot-6 senior center fielder from Dyersburg, led the team with a .403 batting average, 39 runs, 77 hits, and 34 stolen bases. Haycraft also posted 10 doubles, four triples, 25 RBI, and was on base at a .437 clip. Earlier this season, Haycraft became the NAIA’s all-time career stolen base leader when she swiped number 170 of her career. She ended her four-year career with 174 stolen bases. In addition to her All-American and Scholar Athlete honors, Haycraft’s senior year has earned her appearances on the All-Conference and All-Region teams, plus TranSouth Player of the Week award.

, a 5-foot-5 senior right fielder from Tullahoma, Tennessee, hit .348 with 10 double and 18 RBI for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ this season. Bryant was named All-Conference and honorable mentioned All-Region.

, a 5-foot-5 senior pitcher from Danville, California, went 10-7 on the season with a 3.04 ERA in 96.2 innings pitched.

, a 5-foot-5 senior pitcher from Herrin, Illinois, went 13-8 with a team high 1.75 ERA. She tallied 169 strikeouts in 135.1 innings pitched. Kosco was named first team All-Conference and honorable mentioned All-Region.
