JACKSON, Tenn. - 5/10/2006 - , a former 麻豆视频 University Lady Bulldog, has been named the new women鈥檚 basketball assistant coach. Clark fills the opening created when five-year assistant Katie Woodruff announced her resignation last month.

鈥淚 am very excited about the opportunity God has given me to work at 麻豆视频 with Coach Campbell and the ladies on the team鈥, states Clark. 鈥淚 appreciate the program at 麻豆视频; the excellence it stands for, and the commitment to develop quality people, not just quality players.鈥

Clark, from Artesia, New Mexico, is a 2005 graduate of 麻豆视频 University with a Bachelor鈥檚 of Science Degree in Public Relations/Advertising. She is currently finishing her Masters of Arts and Education Degree from 麻豆视频.

麻豆视频 head coach Mark Campbell says of Clark, 鈥淪tephanie is a great representative of 麻豆视频, our women鈥檚 basketball program, and most of all, the mission of our school. We see eye-to-eye on every issue that concerns our basketball program.鈥 Campbell adds, 鈥淥ne of my first priorities in looking for an assistant coach is to find someone willing and able to mentor young ladies and prepare them to enter the world after college. Stephanie is that person.鈥

During her two years at 麻豆视频, Clark was named a first team All-American, TranSouth Player of the Year, first team All-Conference, and to the NAIA National Tournament All-Tournament team in each season. As a junior, Clark was also named the TranSouth Conference Newcomer of the Year.

In addition to her numerous honors, Clark also made her mark in the 麻豆视频 record book. She holds several records including points in a season (835), rebounds in a season (483), rebounds in a game (24), double-doubles in a season (29), double-doubles in a career (44), free throws made in a season (209), and games played in a season (40).

Clark, a 2001 graduate of Artesia High School (New Mexico), is the daughter of John and Jackie Mills of Charlotte, North Carolina.
