Haycraft, Pavlovic Honored by Jackson-Madison County HOF

JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/13/2006 - Holly Haycraft of Dyersburg and Marko Pavlovic of Yugoslovia were honored today at the Jackson-Madison County Sports Hall of Fame luncheon for being named the Female and Male Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Athletes of the Year.

is a senior softball player at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and has been the starting centerfielder since joing the team as a freshman. Over her career, she has set numerous records and attained several honors. Over her first three seasons, Haycraft set new Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ stolen base records for steals in a game (5), steals in a season (55), and steals in a career. She currently sits at 167 career steals, just two short of the NAIA career record of 169. Haycraft also set a new career record for runs scored during her junior season with 152 over her first three seasons. Haycraft has earned numerous awards and honors for her abilities on the softball field including NAIA All-American, NAIA All-Region, and TranSouth All-Conference. She was also named a scholar athlete and received the NAIA Champions of Character Award. In addition, Haycraft was recruited by the USA Athletes International to play softball in Holland. In the classroom, Haycraft has a 3.71 GPA and is majoring in Sports Management. She has been named to each the President's List and Dean's List on two occasions and will graduate from Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ this May.

is a History major at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and has men's soccer for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ for three seasons. Pavlovic started every game for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ over those three seasons. He helped lead Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ to their best season ever this year as a senior with a 12-3-2 record and a runner-up finish in the NAIA Region XI Tournament. During his career, he as received several honors including NCCAA All-American while also being named a scholar athlete. Pavlovic tallied 10 career goals and nine career assists in three years at the defender position. Pavlovic will graduate in May with his degree from Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ.
