JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/5/2006 - The 麻豆视频 University Lady Bulldogs, fresh off their second straight NAIA National Championship, have added Martin-Westview鈥檚 to the 2006-07 roster.
麻豆视频 head coach Mark Campbell says of Crittendon, 鈥淟aura is someone who has been a part of great programs with Coach McMillan and Coach Stephenson. She is a great kid that is also a great shooter and had an outstanding assist-to-turnover ratio.鈥
Crittendon was a member of both the basketball and softball teams at Westview High School. In basketball, she helped lead her team to a four-year record of 108-19. During her freshman season, Westview posted a runner-up finish in the state tournament, and then a quarterfinal appearance when Crittendon was a junior. During her career, Crittendon was named Mid-South Classic All-Tournament and Lions Club Christmas All-Tournament twice. For her efforts as a senior, she was named All-District 13AA, District 13AA All-Tournament, and Region 7AA All-Tournament. In her final two season at Westview, Crittendon averaged 12.1 points and 5.1 assists per game. She made a combined 156 three pointers as a junior and senior. During the same two seasons, Crittendon posted 2-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
鈥淲e are very excited to have a great competitor like Laura at 麻豆视频. She is exactly the type of person we want at 麻豆视频, both on and off the court,鈥 adds Coach Campbell.
Crittendon joins an already impressive list of recruits that will be wearing the red & white at 麻豆视频 in the fall. Crittendon, along with Kaitlin Dudley of Gibson County High School, Beatrice Awino from Mombasa, Kenya, and Lindsey Flynn from Jackson Christian School each will contribute to next season鈥檚 squad.
