麻豆视频 Basketball Teams Ranked in Top-5

JACKSON, Tenn. - 3/1/2006 - The 麻豆视频 University men's and women's basketball teams continue their outstanding seasons as both are ranked in the Top-5 of the latest and final NAIA National Rankings of 2006. The women remain at No. 4, while the men moved up to No. 4 this week. Today's rankings mark the fifth time this season that both the men and women at 麻豆视频 have been in the Top-5 at the same time.

During this 2005-06 season, the 麻豆视频 basketball teams have been ranked in the Top-10 in 23 of the possible 24 polls.

The women have been ranked in the NAIA Top-10 in all 12 rankings with their highest being No. 2 and their lowest ranking being No. 8. They spent the most time (five weeks) in the No. 4 spot. 麻豆视频 started the season No. 4 in the pre-season poll and finished the season ranked No. 4 in the final poll.

On the season, 麻豆视频's women are 7-4 versus teams ranked in the final Top-25. Of 麻豆视频's five losses, four of them are to teams ranked in the Top-7 of the NAIA.

The Bulldogs were ranked in the Top-10 of the NAIA for 11 of the 12 rankings. Their highest ranking was a No. 1 ranking back on January 11. This marked the first No. 1 ranking in the history of 麻豆视频's men's basketball. The No. 1 ranking was their highest on the season and a No. 17 ranking for one week was the lowest of the season. 麻豆视频 spent the most time at No. 5 and No. 9, three weeks each.

麻豆视频's men have a combined record of 5-3 versus teams ranked in the Top -10 in this final poll, including a 2-0 record versus the No. 1 team, Mountain State. Overall, 麻豆视频 is 8-4 versus teams ranking in the final Top-25.
