Jackson Local Passes 麻豆视频 Career Baseball Record

Jackson, Tenn. - 3/27/2002 - , a native of Jackson, Tennessee, became 麻豆视频鈥檚 leader for doubles in a career. Tuesday, in a 14-5 win over Concordia College, Wyatt hit his 64 career double as a Bulldog. The old mark of 63 was set by Jeff Dobbins from 1980-1983.

Wyatt, 麻豆视频鈥檚 senior third baseman, has been on of Coach Rushing鈥檚 best hitters during his time at 麻豆视频. Coming into this season, Wyatt had a .382 batting average, 31 homeruns, and 171 RBI. So far in 2002, Wyatt has continued his consistent hitting with a .373 average, nine doubles, five triples, four homeruns, and 25 RBI. Wyatt also leads the Bulldogs in appearances this season with 11. Out of the bullpen, Wyatt is 3-1 and has a 3.60 ERA in 25.0 innings pitched.

He was selected to the All-TranSouth Conference team his freshman and junior seasons. Wyatt now holds four 麻豆视频 records, including doubles in a season when he hit 26 as a freshman, total bases in a season with 162, most homeruns in a game with three, and he will add to his total of 64 career doubles.

A three-sport star at South Side High School, Wyatt led his Hawks to three district titles and won numerous awards for his outstanding performances.
