Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Baseball Stretches Winning Steak to Four Games

JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/25/2006 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Bulldog baseball team extended their winning streak to four games with a 9-2 win over Huntington University (Ind.) on Saturday at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Fesmire Field. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, who started the season 2-5, are now 6-5 overall.

Today was about the effort of junior pitcher Garrett Pepper who tossed 7.2 innings, allowing just two runs on four hits. Pepper (1-2) took a shutout in to the top of the eight inning. John Mark Walls, a former JCM standout, came in to pitch 1.1 innings of scoreless relief, allowing just one hit.

Offensively, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was led by Jason Cooper who went 3-for-5 on the day with two RBI and two runs scored. Zach Lowery added a 2-for-5 day with an RBI and two runs. James Brasfield and Jeffrey Jackson each posted two hits on the day.
