JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/21/2006 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Bulldog baseball team rallied from a 6-2 and 7-6 deficit in the game to win 8-7 in 11 innings on Tuesday at Fesmire Field. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ improved to 3-5 on the season.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ trailed 6-2 in the fourth inning but rallied for a run in the bottom of the fourth, two more in the bottom of the sixth, and on in bottom of the sixth to tie the game. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Evan Dyer tossed 3.1 innings of one hit ball, not allowing any runs. In the top of the 11th inning, Lindsey Wilson added a run off of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ pitcher James Brasfield (2-0), who allowed just that one run in 4.2 innings of relief to earn the win. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ then scored two runs in the bottom of the 11th when Huntingdon native Andrew Maddox singled to tie the game, followed by a throwing error by Lindsey Wilson's Danny Torres to allow the winning run to cross the plate.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will play next on Thursday at 4:00 pm when the Bulldogs host the Eagles of Lambuth University.
