麻豆视频鈥檚 Burkett TranSouth Men鈥檚 Basketball Player of the Week

JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/20/2006 - of 麻豆视频 University is this weeks TranSouth Athletic Conference men's basketball player of the week for the week ending February 19, 2006. This is the second time Burkett has been selected this season.

Burkett, a 6-foot-3 senior guard from Dothan, Ala., helped lead 麻豆视频 to a perfect 3-0 week, including a win over No. 1 Mountain State and receiving votes Lyon College. In the Bulldogs 83-78 victory over Mountain State Burkett tallied 21 points, including 7-of-11 behind the arc. This win over Mountain State marked the second time this season and the third time in two years that 麻豆视频 has topped Mountain State when they were ranked No. 1. 麻豆视频 has give Mountain State their only two losses on the year.

Burkett averaged 15 points on the week with 3.7 rebounds shooting 14-of-30 (47.0%) from the field, 13-of-25 (52.0%) from behind the arc and 4-4 from the foul line.

麻豆视频 is currently 23-5 on the year and 7-3 in conference play. The Bulldogs are ranked No. 2 in the TranSouth Conference.
