Winter Weather Cancels Women's Basketball and Baseball Games; Men's Basketball Game Still On

JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/18/2006 - The 麻豆视频 University women's basketball and baseball games scheduled for today (Saturday) have been cancelled due the winter weather storm. However, men's the basketball game set for Saturday afternoon at 4:00 pm will be played as scheduled.

The men's opponent, Mountain State University (W. Va.), and some officials were already in town when the bad weater hit as they made the trip to Jackson on Friday night. All parties involved including the officials, visiting team, and home team were all a part of the final decision.

The 麻豆视频 women's basketball game was to feature the Lady Bulldogs versus Brescia University (Ky.). However, Brescia decided it was too dangerous to leave their Owensboro, Ky. home to make the trip this morning.

麻豆视频 baseball was to host Olivet Nazarene Unviersity (Ill.) on Friday and then Hannibal-LaGrange College (Mo.) on Saturday. However, due to expected winter weather and unknown travel conditions, the trips for the two road teams were cancelled.

No make up dates are expected to be set for the cancelled baseball games due to the lenth of the trips for the visiting teams involved. The 麻豆视频 games were just a portion of the games these schools were to play on the trip to West Tennessee.
