麻豆视频 Men Drop to No. 3, Still Gain First Place Vote; Women Ranked No. 5

JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/18/2006 - After a tough road loss to No. 6 Lambuth, the 麻豆视频 men dropped from No. 1 to No. 3, however, still picked up a first place vote. 麻豆视频, now 14-2 on the season, was ranked No. 1 last week for the first time in school history. On the women鈥檚 side, the 麻豆视频 Lady Bulldogs are winners of five straight and are ranked No. 5 in the NAIA and are 13-3 on the season.

麻豆视频鈥檚 men start conference play on Thursday night, January 19 at Trevecca Nazarene. 麻豆视频鈥檚 pre-conference schedule has been on of the toughest in the nation with 麻豆视频 posted a 10-2 record versus ranked teams, 9-2 road record, and a 5-0 home record.

The Lady Bulldogs also begin conference play on Thursday night at Trevecca Nazarene. So far this season, the only set back for 麻豆视频 was a three-game losing streak after starting the season 8-0. That three-game losing streak was the longest in 13 seasons for 麻豆视频 Lady Bulldog Basketball.

Tomorrow鈥檚 TranSouth Conference match up at Trevecca Nazarene will feature all four teams ranked in the NAIA鈥檚 Top 10. The women鈥檚 game will pit No. 3 Trevecca Nazarene (18-0) vs. No. 5 麻豆视频 (13-3). Last season, Trevecca Nazarene beat 麻豆视频 at 麻豆视频 to give the Lady Bulldogs their first loss at 17-1. In the men鈥檚 game, No. 3 麻豆视频 will face No. 10 Trevecca Nazarene. Trevecca Nazarene is the only conference team to beat 麻豆视频鈥檚 men since the 2003-04 season.
