Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Women Snap Losing Skid with 86-41 Win

JACKSON, Tenn. - 12/10/2005 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Lady Bulldogs ended their three game losing streak, the longest in 13 seasons, with an 86-41 win over Berry College (Ga.). Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, ranked No. 2 in the NAIA, improved to 9-3 overall. Berry, who received votes in the latest NAIA poll at No. 30, drops to 7-4 on the season.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ jumped out to a quick 11-0 lead in the game and never looked back as they scored 61 first half points to lead 61-26 at halftime. The second half was a much slower pace as Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ outscored Berry 25-15 to take the 45-point win. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ shot 50 percent from the field including 9-of-19 (47 percent) from behind the arc.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was led by Josephine Owino with 22 points. Jessica Graves scored 14 points on 4-of-7 shooting from behind the arc. Ena Daniels scored 12 points and led with eight rebounds, while Natanya Smith and Crystal Eason each scored 10 points.

Berry was led by Deana Duncan with 12 points and Mickey Duncan with 10 rebounds.

The Lady Bulldogs are done for this semester as their next ball game will come on January 6 in the Lambuth Classic.
