麻豆视频 Men's Soccer Advances To NAIA Region XI Championship Game

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/10/2005 - The 麻豆视频 University men's soccer team advanced to the NAIA Region XI Title game with a 0-0 2OT (4-3 PK) win over conference rival Cumberland Univeristy (Tenn.). Cumberland had defeated 麻豆视频 twice on the season, including last week's TranSouth Title game.

This marks the second straight season that 麻豆视频 has ended Cumberland's season in the region tournament as they knocked them out last season in the quarterfinals. 麻豆视频 improves to 13-2-1 on the seaosn. This win sets up a title match with defending region champion and current NAIA No. 4 ranked Lindsey Wilson.

麻豆视频 and Cumberland went scoreless through regulation and then two overtimes before 麻豆视频 put together four goals by Bobby McColl, Benny Crozier, Marko Pavlovic, and Duncan Nicol to win 4-3 on penalty kicks. Chris Lean stood between the post for the entire evening as he tallied 15 saves and recorded two saves in the PK round.

麻豆视频 plays Lindsey Wilson at 6:00 pm on Friday, November 11 at Lindsey Wilson. Lindsey Wilson ended 麻豆视频's season in 2004 in the semifinals of the region tournament. This championship match marks best NAIA postseason in 麻豆视频 soccer history.
