麻豆视频 Lady Bulldogs Win Season Opener

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/5/2005 - The 麻豆视频 University women's basketball team earned victory in their season opener with a 78-67 win over Arkansas Baptist College. 麻豆视频 is now 1-0 on the season.

In the game, 麻豆视频 struggled to find their offensive rhythm as they managed just 30-of-70 shooting from the field (.429), including just 7-of-25 (.280) from behind the three point line. 麻豆视频 led 44-31 at the break and led by as many as 20 points in the second half. However, Arkansas Baptist slowy crept back to with seven points with just under four minutes remaining. 麻豆视频 again pulled away to earn the win.

麻豆视频 was led by Josephine Owins, Ena Daniels, Jennifer Henson, and Tiffany Fisher with 12 points each. Arkansas Baptist was paced by Channing Gordon with 20 points, while Kim Matthews tallied a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

麻豆视频 plays next on Monday night as they travel to McKendree College in Lebanon, Ill. for a 7:00 pm game.
