麻豆视频 Volleyball Remains Only Unbeaten Team In TranSouth Play

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/27/2005 - The 麻豆视频 University volleyball team remains atop the TranSouth Conference standings early in league play. The Lady Bulldogs now sit as the lone unbeaten team as they knocked off previously unbeaten Lyon College 3-1 (28-30, 30-24, 30-24, 30-25) on Tuesday night. 麻豆视频 is now 2-0 in TranSouth play and 9-4 overall, while Lyon falls to 10-12 overall and 2-1 in league play.

Lyon struck first as they jumped out to a lead early in game one. 麻豆视频 didn't take their first lead of the game until they led 17-16, but it was short lived as Lyon took the opening game 30-28. However, after that point, 麻豆视频 settled down to take the next three games from a very tough Lyon team.

麻豆视频 was led by former Trinity Christian standout Amanda Hutchison with 22 kills. Edith Mendoza and Monica Schirmer added 15 kills each, while Lindsey Holmes and Elena Villagomez added 10 apiece. Purity Ogolla tallied 54 assists on the night. Holmes led with five service aces. Hutchison led 麻豆视频 with eight blocks.

Up next for 麻豆视频 will a road match at Mid-Continent College on Thursday, September 29. Then 麻豆视频 will step back into conference play with another road game at Cumberland on Saturday October 1.
