Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Men's Soccer Remains Perfect At 6-0; Munro Records Hat Trick

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/15/2005 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University men's soccer team remained perfect on the season as they improved to 6-0 with a 6-0 win over Campbellsville University (Ky.). The shutout was the fourth shutout in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's six games. The Bulldogs have allowed just two goals on the season and have never trailed. This 6-0 start is the best start for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ since the 1999 season (11-0).

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ led 1-0 at halftime on a goal by Kyle Sanders, assisted by Marko Pavlovic. Then, early in the second half, the fireworks began for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. The Bulldogs score their next three goals in a span of 10 minutes. Gareth Munro tallied a hat trick on the evening with three goals, all three of which came in the second half. Cody Curtis and Michael Pugh each added goals for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. In the match, Benny Crozier tallied two assists while Marko Pavlovic, Bobby McColl, Cody Curtis, and Graham Stirling each added one assist appiece. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ goalie Robert Stinson, a native of Dickson, Tennessee, tallied four saves on his way to his fourth shutout of the season.

The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ defense has helped Stinson out by playing outstanding defense. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ allowed just five shots in the match while the Bulldogs posted 20 shots.

Up next for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will be their first TranSouth Conference match of the season when they host Trevecca Nazarene University on Thursday, September 22 at 7:00 pm.

The Lady Bulldogs soccer team will play next on on Friday, September 16 versus Lambuth University at 3:00 pm on the campus of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University.
